Jason Thomas – Lead Pastor
Jason Thomas was raised in nearby East Ridge, Tennessee, in a loving home where there was encouragement and openness to the gospel.
He was saved at age 12 while visiting a local youth group, but never took the next steps of growing in his faith until after college.
Never intending to become a pastor, he established a career in Law after graduating from the University of Cincinnati. Yet, “many are the plans in a man’s heart, but it is the LORD’s purpose that prevails” (Prov. 19:21). Jason experienced a call to the ministry while serving as an Assistant District Attorney.
This led him to become a part-time youth pastor and then further to Southeastern Seminary, where he earned a Masters of Divinity and became the Lead Pastor here at FBCFO.
He has been happily serving in that position since July 2011. He and his wife Stacy have two daughters, Ally Grace and Avery.
Jason enjoys all things to do with his family, travel, reading, music, and college football.
