Becoming a Christian

  • You believe that God loves you, has a plan for your life, and has sent His only Son to die for your sins on the cross.
  • You are willing to receive God's loving offer of forgiveness and eternal life by faith.
  • You are willing to live your life as a disciple of Christ.

Joining the Church

Just Come Forward

At the end of every worship service, we have an "Invitation Hymn" during which those who wish to join the church simply come forward.  The pastor or another minister will talk with these privately about the decision they are making.  We accept members by one of three means: Profession of Faith and baptism, Statement of Faith, or Transfer of Letter.

Profession of Faith and Baptism

After becoming a Christian, you may become a member of our church by being baptized by immersion in our sanctuary baptismal pool.  Baptism is a symbol of entering the new life in Christ.  It is the public confession of our faith in Christ.

Joining the Church by Statement of Faith

If you wish to join our church from another denomination, you may do so by your "statement of faith" and baptism by immersion, unless you have previously been immersed.

Joining the Church by Transfer of Letter

If you wish to join our church from another Baptist Church, you may join by "transfer of letter."  We simply write for a letter of recommendation from the church of your previous membership.
